Young John or Pheelz — Which Producer Has Better Chemistry With Olamide?

Olamide’s golden era is far from over; after dropping two albums in the space of one year, the 32-year-old has shown no signs of slowing down.

With every album having an edge over the last, Olamide has continued to redefine his sound and his switch from street rapper to pop star is now complete. “UY Scuti” confirmed that.

One thing about Olamide is, though, the man can work with anybody, and he gives people the chance, the platform to do their thing. Especially producers. “Carpe Diem” for example had a lot of P Prime beats on it, while Eskeez did most of “UY Scuti”.

His best productions have however come in the era when he was just a rapper and a street-hop artist trying to keep the balance so he could stay in the mainstream.

In that era, two producers who did most of the work for Olamide were Young John and his in-house producer, Pheelz.

Young John the wicked producer has done a lot of hits for Olamide, starting from “Story For The Gods,” a hit off Olamide‘s fourth album, “Street OT.”

He then went on to produce a huge chunk of Olamideand Phyno’s collaborative album, “2 Kings.”

He was also instrumental in creation of Olamide‘s critically acclaimed “Eyan Mayweather.” In 2017, he did all of the production on Olamide‘s “Lagos Nawa” within 24 hours.

When it comes to bops, Young John has handed Baddo quite a number of them. There’s been “Wo,” “Pepper Dem Gang,” “Bobo,” “Story For The Gods,” “Confam Ni,” feat Wizkid, among others.

Pheelz on the other hand, has done most of the work of Olamide since 2012. He worked on “YBNL,” “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth,” and everything in between. He engineered Olamide‘s more conscious side, especially on his albums.

His production credits for Olamide include “Eleda Mi O,” “Dope Money,” “Fucking With The Devil,” and “Durosoke.”

Olamide no doubt has good chemistry with both Young John and Pheelz, but which duo do you like best? Olamide with Young John or Olamide with Pheelz?

Let’s hear from you.
