Rebecca Solomon [ the whole students of PRINCESS COLLEGE were already on their feet as well as some of the senators and Mrs. Douglas as she was greeted with a resounding applause…

COORDINATOR : As usual, every question answered evokes a 5 point , the time for each question is a 60 seconds.. please be time conscious .. walk among yourselves and let’s see who get the gold …as well as our contestant of the year award…—- we’ll start with word definition as usual

COORDINATOR : woah! what a battle of the best .. The HOME SIDE took the lead through Steve but gave it up as Rebecca stole the show right under their noses and brought the round to a tie @ 23 – 23 .. Rebecca leads the chart with 4 correctly answered questions and Steve with 3

COORDINATOR : The next round is our vocabulary jam, as each side must offer the best possible correct answer to the question .. But we want this year to be more fun so I won’t be asking the questions instead the both sides will ask each other .. let’s go in 3 ! 2! 1! …

COORDINATOR : Well, Round 2 has come to end with the home side leading at 30-15 points and Rebecca and Steve at a tie in 6-6, the young man did to unthinkable awarding a point to both Rebecca and PRINCESS COLLEGE … we’ll take a break and resume with the spelling bee, the final stage

REBECCA : why did you do that, Steve ?

STEVE : I dint know the word truly

REBECCA : don’t give me that …tell me what went wrong

STEVE : fine, I was observant of you the whole time, I know about your condition and dragging this competition would have exposed something you wanted no one to know because I know you were not gonna fail intentionally, I know how much this means to you and your school.. I dint want you to be disgraced

REBECCA : (she was already in tears) Steve, you shouldn’t have done that.. this competition involved a bet between the two schools and MR. Popov won’t forgive you …

STEVE : I can handle myself ..

REBECCA : I will forever grateful to you.. she draws him into her as their lips met in a passionate kiss…

STEVE : What was that for ?

REBECCA : I’ve been meaning to do that … You’re just irresistible ..

STEVE : Thanks , and you’re mesmerizing too

MICHELLE’S POV

I couldn’t believe that boy, walking away from a major competition just like that… I needed to give him a piece of my mind as I walked closer to his where his locker was, I heard whispers from a corner drawing close I saw Steve with some girl, I was about crashing in on them when I saw it was Rebecca, so he’s this cheap betraying his school just to get into a girl’s pant…

After listening to their conversation, I was moved and I don’t know why I felt butterflies in my stomach rise suddenly and I was jealous when she kissed him.. I had Stanley– I shouldn’t be jealous …..and I was just feeling soft because he helped me with some spellings .nothing more
