Good Sin (The Unpardonable) – Season 1 – Episode 5

The Unpardonable

The manager just got married to Dzifa about a month ago and already she is suspecting him of cheating, that was the main reason she stormed her husband’s office only to be stopped by the manager’s receptionist all in the name of an on-going interview.
Eva just stood there lost with words, even though she had a lot of things to say at that time, no word was uttered out of her mouth. Dzifa also looked stunned as soon as she set her eyes on Eva. You could tell from her posture that she was feeling nervous all over and as soon as she opened her mouth, her voice began to tremble.
“Eva, what are you doing here?” She asked.
At that moment, Eva wanted to pounce on her when she heard that question from her so called friend, however she knew she was still in the presence of her new boss and for that matter, she kept calm. Before she could utter a word, the manager interrupted.
“Do you two know each other? He asked. Eva was quick to respond.
“Sir yeah, our path mistakenly crossed some few months ago” Eva said looking very furious. It was obvious that she was upset and disappointed in her friend Dzifa.
“Anyway, meet my wife” The manager said and introduced Dzifa to Eva. Without wasting any more time, Eva excused herself and left them that very moment. All through out, Dzifa had nothing at all to say. From what we can see, an angry mood on her part at the initial stage had all of a sudden changed into a solemn mood and that even amazed Dzifa’s husband.
He knew her to be the hardcore, no nonsense and will do everything within her power to get what she wants. That was not actually the way she was when Patrick (The manager) met her. Before their marriage, he saw Dzifa to be the well behaved, religious and solemn lady, but after taking her to the altar and putting a ring on her finger, everything about her had changed. She had all of a sudden become the wild girl who finds something wrong with everything around her.

That same night, while Eva was still finding it difficult to settle with her re encounter with Dzifa, a knock came from the door. Because of her past experience, she took much precaution and time before she opened the door. The strange thing was that, the knock came in just once.
To Eva’s surprise, there was no one at the door. She became frightened and she begun looking around to see if anyone was there. That was when she noticed an envelope at her door step; she quickly took it, went inside and locked the door behind her.
She opened it and it was an apology letter from an anonymous person which reads:
“AS HUMAN AS WE ARE, WE SOMETIMES MAKE UNPARDONABLE MISTAKES. I TOOK YOU FOR GRANTED AND TOOK YOUR PRIDE AS A WOMAN FROM YOU. I CAN’T CHANGE WHAT I DID IN THE PAST NEITHER DO I THINK THAT YOU WILL EVER FORGIVE ME FOR WHAT I DID. THAT WAS NOT THE BEST WAY TO SHOW MY LOVE FOR YOU. ACCEPT MY APOLOGY. I WILL CONTINUE TO REMAIN IN THE DARK TILL I AM COMPLETELY SURE I HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN. I AM SORRY”
This letter definitely came from the rapist. Eva couldn’t help herself from crying. She cried and was in more pains. The presence of the letter did more harm than good. Eva was now convinced that she was pregnant after the test she did. Though she wanted to abort the pregnancy from the initial stage, her focus now had completely changed after she met Dzifa. She wanted to pay her back for what she had put her through and her pregnancy became part of her plans. Dzifa took her for granted and now she has the intention of destroying her marriage as well.
Dzifa’s husband had already slept with her which to her was actually in the right direction. Maybe, this was the time for her to find a suitable father for her unborn child and the only person she could think of was the manager, Dzifa’s husband. That was the perfect pay back Eva could think of.
Again, a knock came in from the door but this time it wasn’t just once like that of the first one, it was continuous. Eva rushed out to check who it was and there Dzifa stood right at her door step.
