Emeka Akumefule, known professionally as Blaqbonez, is a Nigerian rapper signed to 100 Crowns, which is an imprint of Chocolate City.
In 2019, he was profiled by The New York Times as one of the new guards of Nigerian music.

Couple of days ago, he releases his long-awaited new album, ‘Sex over Love’ on the back of the release of his trending new single, ‘Bling’ with Amaarae and Buju. The album is the artist’s first body of work since his 2019 release, Mr. Boombastic, which debuted at #1 on Apple Music’s Top Album Chart.

Sex Over Love’ consists of 14 solid tracks, collaborating with Tiwa Savage, Nasty C, Joeboy, Amaarae, Buju, Cheque, PsychoYP, 1da Banton, Laycon, Bad Boy Timz and more.

The hype surrounding the album was something else. He talk, shout and rant about it every day non-stop. After the album dropped, he made sure it topped chart on all platforms. Burnaboy and Wizkid posted it on their pages. He also begged Davido jokingly to do same.

As we speak, #Blaqbonez new album, ‘S*x Over Love’ is #1 on Apple music, Audiomack, Deezer.
