“Ah, Caro you don come back, food dey fire ehn, e go soon don. Just enter house, make you go baff by the time you finish, food don ready by then. My pinkin, you don try.”Mama Caro says as Cassy entered the kitchen to drop her empty tray pan.
Cassy walks into the house and then went on to take off her clothes, she takes the bathing bucket and the mini bucket for soap and sponge, before walking out of the house to have her bath.
“Mama, I’ve finished bathing ooo, please where’s my food.”Cassy asked walking into the kitchen.
“Oh, your food is over there.” Mama Caro says, pointing at a plate of food on the kitchen stool.
“Ah mama, that your cough hasn’t gone yet.” Cassy asked concerned, on hearing mama Caro coughing.
“Hmm, don’t worry it will go, I’ve already drank some herbal medicine.” Mama Caro says.
“Mummy have told you, you need to go to the hospital for check up, all this self medication is not good.” Cassy lectures frowning at mama Caro.
“Ah, my pikin leave that…..” Mama Caro couldn’t complete her sentence as another
wave of cough took over her.
“Mama, mama are you okay, oh my God, mama you’re coughing out blood.” Cassy yells panicking, on seeing the blood on Mama’s Caro hands.
“That’s it, I’m taking you to the hospital, right this minute.” Cassy utters.
“Caro, don’t worry yourself, is nothing, I’m fine ehn.” Mama Caro says softly, in between coughs.
“Mama, you said I should not be worried abi, tell me how can I not be worried, when you’re coughing out blood, I don’t have time to argue this with you, I’m going to call mama Nkechi, right now, so she can help me take you to the hospital and there’s nothing you’ll say or do, that will change my mind.” Cassy says and walks out of the kitchen and with the help of mama Nkechi and her husband, she was able to take mama Nkechi to the hospital.
“So, Doctor Ben, what’s wrong with my mother.” Cassy asks, she is currently sitting in the doctor’s office.
“Your mother, has kidney failure.” Doctor Ben announced.

“There’s no need to panic yet, we don’t know if it’s the two kidney that’s affected, so we are currently running some test on her by tommorow, the test results will be
out.” Doctor Ben explains, trying to reassure her but Cassy was far from being reassured.
“So what do you want to show me and why did you aske me to meet you in your art studio, I though you don’t like anyone coming in here.” Caro asked walking into Justin’s art studio.
“Caro, you talk a lot and besides for you I’ll make an exception.” Justin says and then takes her hand in his.
“Wow, I don’t know what to say.” Caro utters surprised by what he said.
“You don’t have to say anything, now I noticed you were staring at these, paintings confused, and so… I want to explain them to you” Justin says and then leads her to the painting of the small boy.
“So in this painting, the little boy is me and the grown-ups are my parents, when I was a child my parents never had time for me, I was raised by a nanny and just like you said the other day, they are pretty much busy in their own diffrent life’s to ever noticed me, so I always tried to get their attention but they just never noticed and so I stopped and just learned to be in my own world and mind my goddamn business.”
“Wow, that’s so sad.” Caro utters.
“Nah, it’s okay.” Jason says causally and then leads her to the song bird painting.
“So in this painting the song bird is my sister, and the cage are my parents, I’ve always seen it in her eyes, the need to be free from them.”
“Erm ma’am sorry for disturbing you but your phone is ringing.” Lucy says, poking her head into the room.
“Oh so where is it.” Caro asked her.
“It’s back at your room.” Lucy replies her.
“But why didn’t you bring it along with you, so I can answer the call.” Caro asked her confused.
“Oh that’s because is Mr Mike calling.” Lucy replies her.
“Oh Lucy it’s okay, Justin knows the truth, I told him I’m not his sister.” Caro informs her.
“Like you told him you and his sister exchanged bodies.” Lucy asked shocked.
“Yeah I did, well since you since you didn’t bring the phone, that means I’ll have to go back to the room to take the call, Justin I’ll have to go.” Cassy says turning to look at Justin.
“Oh okay, but we can hang out later right.” Justin asked her, taking her hand in his.
“Yeah, sure, of course.” Caro replies him.
“Okay, can I at least give you a peck on the cheek.”
“Yes, you can.” Caro replies him, and Justin wasted no time in giving her a peck.
“Okay, I’ll be going now, see you later, bye..” Caro says and leaves the art studio along side Lucy.
“Lucy no questions, I’ll give you all the details later.”
“Can I at least ask just one question.” Lucy pleads.
“No, you can’t.”
“Hey bro, I saw your missed call.” Caro says, the minute Mike accept the call.
“Caro I have bad news.” Mike says and Caro could sense the worry in them.
“Okay, you’re scaring me with the tone of your voice but what’s the bad news.” Caro asked, a little bit afraid, her brother wouldn’t call if it wasn’t really that important.
“Caro, mum it’s in the hospital.” Mike informs her.
“Oh my God, that’s bad, but why is she in the hospital.”
“The doctor says she has kidney failure.” Mike says.
“Oh my God, what are we going to do now.” Caro asks, going into panic mode.
“I don’t know Caro, I really don’t know, the doctors are running some more test on her to see if it’s her two kidney that’s affected, we will get the results by tommorow morning.”
“Oh Mike, I wish I was there, and not be stucked in Cassy’s body right now, I really should be there right now.” Caro utters.
“Well there’s nothing we can do, I’ll make sure I keep you updated.” Mike says.
“Actually there’s a way for you us to exchange bodies back.” Cassy voice comes through the phone speaker.
“How? Cassy, we have tried wishing back into our bodies before, and it didn’t work, and if you’re talking about living our dreams, then that’s not gonna be possible, cause I haven’t even started living my dreams yet, Cassy what other way is there, huh?.”
“Actually Caro, when we tried wishing the other day, I didn’t make the wish.”
“What, I don’t get you now, Cassy, what are you saying.” Caro asked shocked.
“You heard me right Caro, I did not make the goddamn wish the other time.”
“Oh my God.”
